Psalm 84


The Blessedness of Dwelling in the House of God


To the Chief Musician. On an instrument of Gath. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.
^{1 [1]} How lovely is Your tabernacle,
        O LORD of hosts!
        ²My soul longs, yes, even faints
        For the courts of the LORD;
        My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.


        ³Even the sparrow has found a home,
        And the swallow a nest for herself,
        Where she may lay her young--
        Even Your altars, O LORD of hosts,
        My King and my God.
        ⁴Blessed are those who dwell in Your house;
        They will still be praising You.Selah


        ⁵Blessed is the man whose strength is in You,
        Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.
        ⁶As they pass through the Valley of Baca,
        They make it a spring;
        The rain also covers it with pools.
        ⁷They go from strength to strength;
        Each one appears before God in Zion.<sup>[2]


        8</sup>O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer;
        Give ear, O God of Jacob!Selah
        ⁹O God, behold our shield,
        And look upon the face of Your anointed.


        ¹⁰For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
        I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
        Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
        ¹¹For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
        The LORD will give grace and glory;
        No good thing will He withhold
        From those who walk uprightly.


        ¹²O LORD of hosts,
        Blessed is the man who trusts in You!

Jamaica...We built two houses and did foundation at the school for a computer lab. We also typed out exams for the school. God was soo AWESOME!!!! One night we sat out under the stars....AMAZING!!! I had never seen so many stars in my entire life!!! It just showed how big God is!!! He know names for all of them! Plus we were on the equator, so they looked different than in Missouri...so beautiful!! I had come into the trip with a bad attitude! I knew God wanted me there...but I didn't want to be there. But God broke me...which definitely needed to happen! He's still working in my heart. One Psalm I love is Psalm 84.....because it is truely better to have one day in His presence than a thousand elsewhere!!!! I was misserable living for myself...but it is peaceful in my soul living for Him!

Isaiah 48:17-18.....¹⁷ Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. ¹⁸ O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea: (AKJV)

Let go of your life....surrender. Let God write the story of your life for He knows best for you...knows the direction you should go. Trust in Him.

Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you." -Matthew 5:3-12
